Physical Therapist Assistant (Part-time, PRN)

 

POSITION TITLE:   Physical Therapist Assistant
REPORTS TO:        The CEO

REQUIREMENTS:  Degree from an accredited professional program as a Physical Therapist Assistant; Current licensure in Texas

STATUS:   Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Physical Therapist Assistant provides services to clients of the Center and their families.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.            Performs treatment programs according to generally accepted standards of     practice, performing only those tasks permitted by current licensure, under the direction of a Physical Therapist.

2.            Participates in interdisciplinary teamwork resulting in coordinated service delivery to individuals served.

3.            Counsels with clients and family members within the Physical Therapy areas of expertise.

4.            Documents in a timely manner all phases of service, including service delivery and discharge from services, by recording procedures and charges and by dictating or writing treatment notes, progress reports, and assisting in discharge reports.

5.            Participates in continuing education activities.

6.            Participates with the Center’s Administration in case management, program       evaluation, utilization review, and performance analysis.

7.            Participates with the Center’s Administration in marketing the Center’s services.

8.            Participates with the Center’s Administration in meeting all regulatory, licensure,  health and safety, and accreditation standards pertinent to the Center’s clinical programs.

9.            Maintains current licensure, registrations, and certifications pertinent to Physical Therapy.

10.         Documents and assumes responsibility for scheduling adequate supervision to maintain licensure.

11.         Supervises Rehabilitation Technician who is assisting with therapy provided by the Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state licensure requirements.

12.         Completes initial assessment reports within 5 business days from the date of the visit

13.         Documents patient care in a timely manner, by completing visit notes within 24 hours from visit time

Occupational Therapist/Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Full-time)

POSITION TITLE:   Occupational Therapist

REPORTS TO:        The CEO

REQUIREMENTS:   Degree from an accredited professional program in Occupational

                                 Therapy

Current licensure in Texas

STATUS:                   Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Occupational Therapist provides services to clients of the Center and their families.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plans and performs diagnostic evaluation and treatment programs according to generally accepted standards of practice, performing only those tasks permitted by current licensure.
  2. Participates in interdisciplinary teamwork resulting in coordinated service delivery to individuals served.
  3. Counsels with clients and family members within the Occupational Therapy areas of expertise.
  4. Documents in a timely manner all phases of service, including service delivery and discharge from services, by recording procedures and charges and by dictating or writing evaluation reports, plans of care, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge reports.
  5. Participates in continuing education activities.
  6. Participates with Center’s Administration in case management, program evaluation, utilization review, and performance analysis.
  7. Participates with the Center’s Administration in marketing the Center’s services.
  8. Participates with the Center’s Administration in meeting all regulatory, licensure, health and safety, and accreditation standards pertinent to the Center’s clinical programs.
  9. Maintains current licensure, registrations, and certifications pertinent to Occupational Therapy.
  10. Supervises students of Occupational Therapy placed with the Center under cooperative arrangements with accredited professional schools, when appropriate.
  11. Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) in accordance with state licensure requirements.
  12. Supervises Rehabilitation Technician who is assisting in therapy provided by the Occupational Therapist.
  13. Completes initial assessment reports within 5 business days from the date of the visit
  14. Documents patient care in a timely manner, by completing visit notes within 24 hours from visit time
